The Beginning
Johnson City's
Original Custom Jeweler
Dempsey's Jewelers has served upper East Tennessee and Southwest Virginia for over fifty years. Dempsey's Jewelers began in 1976 as a Repair & Fabrication Center serving area jewelry stores. In April of 1993, Dempsey and his wife opened the retail store to serve the public directly — and what started with just two employees quickly grew into a staff of fourteen, becoming the most trusted name in Johnson City for custom design, restoration, and fine jewelry.
We were the first jeweler in the region to embrace laser technology, the first to introduce CAD/CAM design, and the first to bring 3D printing to the custom jewelry process. Not because we chase trends — but because we are committed to giving our customers the very best.
Today, Dempsey's remains the only store in the Tri-Cities with in-house custom jewelry capabilities that include hand-carving, CAD design, 3D printed models, stone setting, and final polish by our master goldsmiths.
